“Here for You” especially supportive for new parents

The Full Package is designed for families who want very involved, hands on support from pregnancy through early postpartum, especially new parents who are still learning what to expect. I walk closely with you throughout this season, checking in often, helping you prepare, and making sure you never feel alone in the process. We begin with a free initial consultation to talk through your hopes, questions, and any previous experiences. From there, we will have at least two in person prenatal appointments, and a virtual visit if needed, to discuss your birth plan and preferences, birth education, comfort and pain management options, and anything else on your mind. These prenatal appointments can be full of information, so I schedule them as at least two hour sessions to leave plenty of time for education, questions, and processing. As part of your preparation, I also provide one of two workbooks for new parents, chosen based on your specific needs, to help you absorb information, make plans, and feel more confident moving into birth and postpartum.

 

Throughout your pregnancy, you will have ongoing telephone, text, and email support, plus a curated pregnancy resource list for prenatal through postpartum.​ As the birth nears, I am on call for you from 37 weeks until the birth of your baby. You will receive continuous labor support from early labor through birth, including comfort measures, position suggestions, emotional support, and help communicating your wishes with your birth team. After baby arrives, I remain with you for about one to two hours of immediate postpartum support, including help with the initial first latch if you are choosing to breastfeed. We will also schedule a postpartum visit to check in on your healing and adjustment at home, answer questions, and assess any needs that may have come up. Continued phone support and, if needed, brief in person pop overs are available for two or more weeks postpartum so you do not feel like the support suddenly stops once baby is here. A travel fee may be added for births more than 35 miles from my home base, at my discretion, depending on distance and time.
